Is Having a Blog on My Website Necessary?
A few customers have recently asked me if having a blog on their website is necessary. There is some debate as to whether it is still relevant in today’s social media savvy world.
So what’s my view?!
Regardless of the size of your company I believe blogging is integral to your online content marketing strategy.
Here are 4 reasons to have a blog on your business website:
Drive traffic to your website:
Blogging helps to drive traffic to your website. People like to read blogs (especially if they are as informative as this one!) and so may share content with friends and family, which in turn increases the traffic to your website. It is also great to post blogs on your social media with a link to your website – this gives followers a reason to link through to your website!Increase your SEO:
Blogging helps to increase your ranking on google. Google favours website that are active and have new content. It’s even better if you have key words in your blog to help optimise SEO further.Strengthen your Brand:
Well written articles present your company in a good light and help to strengthen your brand. By posting content which resonates with your market and by showing your knowledge, you are promoting your business.Develop better customer relationships:
Blogging is a fantastic way to engage with your customers or clients as it opens up discussions and opinions. It’s a great way to further these relationships and build trust.
